The Problem

Following a change in ownership, Parkstone Chandlery needed a new identity that marked the beginning of its next chapter. While the business had long served the sailing community from its home within Parkstone Yacht Club, its existing identity lacked distinction and failed to reflect the expertise, trust and sense of community that define the business today. The challenge was to create a brand that felt contemporary and recognisable while remaining authentic to its nautical roots and positioning the chandlery for future growth beyond the club.

The Solution

Working closely with the owner, I refined the existing identity into a cleaner, more contemporary brand system that respected its history. Rather than starting from scratch, I retained the recognisable sail motif and distinctive letterforms, redesigning them into a custom wordmark with improved balance, scalability and consistency. Alongside the new logo suite, I developed a refined colour palette, typography system and brand guidelines to create a flexible identity that feels modern, professional and built to support the business across signage, digital platforms, merchandise and future marketing.
